Information on Utilities Servicing our Area
During this unprecedented time, we recognize that many in the communities we serve could use a little extra help.
Midco has signed the FCC’s Keep Americans Connected Pledge to ensure people don’t lose internet or telephone connectivity during this time. Please see our COVID-19 updates page for specific details.
We have also compiled a list of local resources to help people in need during this time.We have also placed this list on our website.
We certainly understand our customers’ concerns and stress in this challenging time, and we understand that connectivity is of utmost importance.
Therefore, beginning Monday, March 16, Vast Broadband plans to do the following for 60 days:
- Vast plans to open all Wi-Fi hot spots up to customers and non-customers free of charge. A list of locations can be found at https://www.vastbroadband.com/hotspots.
- Vast will partner with school districts to ensure students in need of connectivity for remote learning with limited resources can still have internet.
- We continue to offer our low-income internet programs to those that are eligible.
- Vast does not have data caps so customers with additional usage will not be charged any additional fees.
- Vast will work with customers individually affected by this crisis that may need special arrangements to insure their services are not interrupted.
We understand broadband internet access will be increasingly necessary for homes to be able to learn and work remotely. As our country works together to contain this virus, Vast pledges to do our part to assist our neighbors in need.

We are closely following recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This includes recommendations on social distancing.
